Secrets Moxché is an all-inclusive resort; all meals and drinks, accommodations, and in-room dining/mini bar is included in your stay. KBP Brands will also cover a roundtrip coach class airline ticket for you and one guest between your home city and Cancun, and ground transportation once in Mexico, as well as group functions, activities and entertainment. Please note that tipping is not required, as it is covered by KBP at the hotel.

Certain airlines charge for checked luggage, usually $25-$35 per bag each way. You are responsible for checked luggage fees out of pocket. To view your airline’s policies, please visit the airline website prior to your departure. If you do incur checked luggage fees, speak with your direct supervisor about how to be reimbursed for those fees.

We recommend contacting your service provider prior to arrival in Playa del Carmen, Mexico to see what is included in your current plan and add Mexico to your existing service plan if needed.

Mexico’s official currency is the peso, but the U.S. dollar is widely accepted. Traveler’s checks are also accepted and there is normally no charge for using them in hotels, restaurants, and stores. Major credit cards are accepted at most establishments, while personal checks are normally not accepted.

While you may not incur personal expenses while in Mexico, it is recommended you call your credit card companies and bank to let them know you will be traveling internationally in case you need to use a credit or debit card while out of the country.

Playa del Carmen, Mexico is on Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Secrets Moxché has the same voltage standard as in North America (110 volts); therefore, European appliances generally cannot be used in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and will require a converter.

It is important that all your luggage pieces are identified. Please use luggage tags for identification. All luggage is subject to security screening and may be opened for inspection by TSA. If you lock your checked luggage, be aware that locks may be broken if inspection is necessary. In addition, many items that are permitted in checked luggage are prohibited in carry-on luggage.

With certain exceptions for essential liquids (prescription and over-the-counter medicines, baby formula, breast milk, etc.), the following rules apply to all liquids, gels and aerosols carried through a security checkpoint:

• All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in 3-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed.
• All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon-size bags or bags that are not zip-top, such as fold-over sandwich bags, are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
• Each traveler must remove their quart-size, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to examine the declared items more easily.
